Description
Informal portrait of Harry Harris and his dog. Harris was the last engineer at Western Springs Pumping Station who retired when the pumphouse was closed. He lived in the Engineers Cottage though [sic] his service with the Pumping Station.
Harris is holding a pipe in his right hand up to his mouth. He is holding the dog by his collar with his left hand. Vegetation forms the foreground and the background. A fallen tree trunk? is in the bottom left hand corner with the dog standing across it.
