Without seeing the photo (and I cannot locate it on your site) it's not really possible to comment. But Peter Kissel did fly Grumman Avengers in 31 Squadron, RNZAF, Bougainville, mid 1944. Their action (mission) reports have recently been added to an rnzaf website. I am Peter Kissel's nephew, and if the photograph is clear I should be able to identify him.
