Description
The pattern printed on to the fan's paper was later used by 'Air New Zealand' on their fans. The 'Teal' Maroro symbol is featured three times, the 'Teal' logo is included and the background colour is teal. Pattern also features a red hibiscus flower. A tiki and boomerang are included and have been rendered in gold ink as have the 'Teal' logo and the 'Teal' Maroro symbols. No other example of a fan of this kind in the Collection. This example features the original packaging of plastic wrapper and a separate silver paper coil used to hold the fan in a closed position.
