Description
U.S.A. (United States of America) Vietnam medal. This medal was awarded for service in the Indo-China war in the 1960s and early 1970s. The medal is round and attached to a yellow ribbon with 3 vertical parallel red stripes and green borders. On the obverse of the medal is a dragon amongst some bamboo shoots and the words: "Republic of Vietnam Service" embossed at the bottom. On the reverse, is a flaming torch with a crossbow and the words: "United States of America" embossed in a semi-circle. The bar is yellow with 3 vertical parallel red stripes and green borders. The bar is secured to the box and clipped on at the back. They are encased in a blue cardboard box to hold the medal and bar.
