Description
Wooden plaque in the shape of a shield. On the shield is a round monogram within a circle of ferns and a crown on top. The words: "Te Rapa Royal New Zealand Air Force Mate Rourou E Rato Ai" are embossed. In the centre is a depiction of a Māori Pātaka (storehouse) on a white background which symbolises the core stores function of the RNZAF Base Te Rapa . On the reverse, is a dark blue, paper label. On it are printed these words in gold: "Badges & Crests 1986 Ltd. 4 Parity Place Glenfield, Auckland 10, New Zealand. Protected by Crown or Copyright Act." On the left is a round gold circle with the outline of a Kiwi bird and the words: "New Zealand Made" printed therein. There are signatures at the back and below in pencil is written: "To Norm Estaff From the RNZAF Rukuhia Team 1988".
