White flag - white pole sleeve, loop on one end. Blue, black, red colours on printed design. Red stylised bird, blue sky, black text: "New Zealand 1990" "C" The flag is a commemoration of 150 years since the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. The kotuku, or white heron, was the official symbol of the anniversary. The image was created by carver Fred Graham and graphic designer Roy Good.
