On the left there is a row of numbers in red starting from the top, 1 to 9 on the left of the wheel. On the right of the wheel the numbers are marked from 9 to 1 in white. The 2 toothed wheels on the left and right are in blue, with the 3 in the centre a creamish colour. The numbers marked in red have the No.5 missing. Instead, there is a window with movable numbers which are flicked either up or down with the help of the teeth on the wheels. On the left side of the calculator is a red arrow going towards the negative and a white arrow going towards the positive. On the right side of the calculator is a light blue coloured reset lever which, when pressed down, brings all the numbers in the centre row back to zero. There is a SOLO nameplate on the front. The calculator sits on 4 round rubber stops which act as feet. On the bottom, can be seen the distributor'
