Description
This boiler is a double-pass, dry-back, under-fired, multi-tube Scotch boiler. The fire sits in the furnace tube which is located behind the firebox door. The hot gases pass through the furnace tube to the far end of the boiler and then return back through the boiler via 62, 75 mm diameter tubes before passing up the chimney. Ash is removed from the bottom of the furnace tube at the front of the boiler, that's the ash pan under the firebox door. Steam comes from the boiler via a 4-inch mains stop valve on top of the boiler. It has a maximum working pressure of 120 lbs psi and a heating surface of 65 sq. m.s.
