Description
This camera was designed to take stereoscopic (or '3-D') pictures as well as ordinary snapshots. It took 4 stereoscopic pictures or 8 ordinary ones on a roll of 127 size film. Plastic moulded, it came with a cardboard viewer for viewing the stereoscopic pictures.
Brief History
Stereoscopic or stereo cameras gained popularity in the 1950s. The cameras had two lenses which produced slightly overlapping images. The resulting pair of images need to be viewed through a viewer which helps give depth to the images.
