Description
Painted yellow tin box with hinged lid. The cover has a logo for State Express (the name is in a gold and purple crest). Above the logo it says: "State Express 555" in purple and below it: "Piccadilly London" and "Made in England". The interior of the lid is gold with blue writing. It has a Royal crest, the State Express name and the TEAL logo (a stylised bird). It also says: "Specially packed for Tasman Empire Airways Limited". The base of the tin is yellow on the exterior and unpainted inside. Gold writing on the edges says: "25 State Express 555, Ardath Tobacco Co. Ltd. London" and "Manufactured under arrangements with the proprietors". The number "1056" is stamped inside.
