Description
Merv Sterling (right) Keeper of Exhibits MOTAT pictured with members of the rail section who have worked to complete the Koppel Locomotive 'Bertha' pictured on 4th Oct. 1980. 'Bertha' was procured by Merv Sterling in 1958 & was the third exhibit to start the first transport museum in N.Z. at Matakohe Northland. The Old Time Transport Preservation League. She came as a derelict from the Portland Cement Works Whangarei.
