Description
Tunic - Black wool serge with short lapels and patch pockets on both breasts. The pockets have a vertical pleat and triangular flaps. The pockets have a single brass button which is decorated with the letters: A.T.B. (Auckland Transport Board). The front opening has four metal buttons. Each button is decorated with the letters A.T.C. The tunic is fully lined. The body is lined with a black cotton fabric. The sleeve lining is cream with gold and blue stripes. The top and bottom button on the front opening are silver-coloured and the 2 middle buttons are brass. The manufacturer's name on the the reverse side of the button is: Wm. Dowler and Sons Limited, Birmingham.
