Description
A black polyester cap, with polyester tip and a 4-piece bevel. A polyester band with a black oak leaf, loose band. Button down chin strap around the loose band, above the peak. The top of the peak is mirror finish black plastic. The underside of the peak is a matt finish green plastic with a vinyl piping. The tip lining is brown satin as is the side lining. The sweat band is brown vinyl. In the centre of the tip lining is a clear plastic grease protector which has been sewn onto the satin. Printed on the grease protector is "Made especially for Overalls (NZ) Ltd., Auckland by Hills Caps Ltd. Wellington". There are 2 eyelets on each side of the cap above the ears. This means that there is one eyelet in each bevel. On the centre front of the loose band is fitted a chrome plated badge with the word: "Inspector" printed in relief over the entwined letters: NST (abbreviated for North Shore Transport). The badge is 45 mm high and 70 mm long.
