Description
Sound projector, 16 mm, blue metal frame, steel plate upright on which the rollers and sprocket are mounted. Serial No.487 is stamped onto the metal plate, just to the right of the Jockey roller. Control panel at base with 2 handles. Lens is affixed near the top, and the height of the lens is adjustable. The right-hand side of projector has multiple spools to wind film through. The film spool clips onto the top vertical spool arm. Leather handle at top of projector. A power cable extends from the back of the projector. The projector is housed in a fitted, brown, plywood case.
The sequence for winding on the film is as follows: From the 16 mm spool between the top roller and sprocket, under sprocket and between roller and sprocket. Snap shut the roller arm. Turn lens for rough focus, fine focus - with focus knob. Over top guide roller, under pressure roller, round drum; over bottom roller. Inching knob, turn to check between sprocket and rollers. Snap shut the roller arm under Jockey roller at the bottom of the film section and on to the bottom spool which is fitted to the arm extending at 100° from the bottom right hand side of the projector. There is a metal compartment which houses the light bulb. The bulb has a backing mirror.
