Description

Black metal upright frame. One side has a black hinged door with grill pattern. Other side has a grill panel and protruding oblong frame. One side panel missing. Inside are metal boxes and electronics. Whole unit is on wheels plus thin rectangular piece. 2 grilled doors have been detached from machine, located with machine in storage.

I am wondering if this is a PRIME 4050 computer. I worked for ACNielsen (albeit as a contractor in a remote location at that time) and shutdown their last PRIME in 2004 (May), also suggesting it be sent to MOTAT. The year appears to be part of the MOTAT ID and in that case matches. If this can be confirmed then I would be very interested in seeing more detailed photos and getting more information, including whether any magnetic tapes were part of the bundle sent to MOTAT.
