Description
"This book tells about some of the past glories of the Royal Air Force, and of the two services out of which it grew - the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service. But chiefly, it is concerned with the Royal Air Force of to-day - with jet bombers and jet fighters, radar and a score of other devices which were quite unknown when, in 1912, the Royal Flying Corps was formed and a handful of Naval and Army officers volunteered to learn the uncertain business of piloting aeroplanes and putting them to military use." - Foreword
