Description
Black metal cylindrical canister. The top of the canister has 4 metal box fittings with metal rods that angle inwards to a central axis. There are 2 metal claw brackets running at right angles to the central axis. The top of the canister is bolted to the cylinder by a flange and 4 bolts. At the base of the canister are 2 spinning dials visible through the glass windows. The whole unit is suspended by a black metal cross at the top. This metal cross is mounted on rubber bushes to eliminate vibration. 2 wires, one black and one white, have an outlet from the upper sections of the compass. These wires are taped together and are approximately 1700 mm in length. The black wire has a 6-pin plug on the end. The white wire is comprised of 2 white wires joined together with a 5-pin plug on the end.
