Description
-1 Leather helmet with fitted earphones, RNZAF. The helmet is a dark brown leather. The inside is light brown suede leather. Leather chin strap with metal clasp. There are 4 x 80 mm long leather straps sewn onto the helmet. These straps have been sewn to the helmet at one end of the strap and are held at the other end by dome fasteners. There is a strap and buckle on the crown of the helmet. -2 Earphones fitted into the side of the helmet. Round bakelite instruments with 2 wires leading from each earphone to a connecting cable. -3 Rubber oxygen mask with a fitted microphone which has a 230 mm long cord with an adaptor plug on the end to connect with the aircraft communication system. The oxygen mask is secured to the helmet with 2 canvas straps.
