Description
Navy blue, wool forage cap. The crown of the hat is divided into 2 peaks which run from front to back. Around the base of the cap, is a piece of wool that can be folded down to cover the wearer's ears. Usually, the flap is folded up and is attached to each side with a metal hook. At the front of the cap, there are 2 brass buttons with a crown and bird (either an albatross or an eagle) on them. There is a brass pin of a crown on the left side. Inside, the cap has a brown cotton lining and there is a band of brown velveteen around the brim. Inside the lining there is a stiff insert to help the cap retain its shape.
