Description
Navy blue, wool, Officer's cap with peak at the front. The cap has a flat top and a black band running around the brim. Laying on top of the peak is a black leather strap attached on either side with a black button. Also, at the front, above the peak, is an embroidered badge. The badge, on a background of black wool, depicts a red and gold crown and 4 branches in a swag formation. Between the crown and the swag is a gold pin of a bird (possibly eagle). At the sides of the cap are two small holes with a black rivet in it. Inside the cap, there is a blue, cotton lining. Around the inside of the brim, is a leather band - now only attached at the back. The remnants of a plastic lining lie in pieces inside the cap.
