Description
RAF Bomber Squadron Badge, mounted on navy blue wool and framed. The badge consists of a circular medallion at its centre. The medallion has an embroidered red bird on a white background. Around the edges of the medallion is a blue background with gold embroidery and the words: BOMBER SQUADRON 51 ROYAL AIR FORCE. Above the medallion is an embroidered red and gold crown. Below the medallion is a cream-coloured scroll with gold embroidery and the motto: SWIFT AND SURE. The badge is in a frame with cream-coloured mounting and a glass front. The frame is black with 2 gold stripes. On the reverse is backing of hardboard held in place with masking tape.
