Description
Leather, air crew helmet with zipper enclosed ear phones. The helmet is square cut across the forehead. The helmet has side flaps which frame the face. There is a chin strap which buckles on the left side of the chin. On either side of the face opening are twin straps which secure a 100 mm long strap. This strap holds the elastic flight goggle straps in place under the helmet. There is a leather strap and buckle on the back of the helmet. The microphone cable to the helmet is missing. The inside of the helmet is suede. The earpiece is covered by a padded donut shaped suede fitting. There are zippers on the outside leather ear microphones. The left and right audio cables join together. There is a copper connecting fitting on the end of the cables. The cables are 640 mm in length. The helmet is constructed with approximately 12 leather panels, sewn along the seams.
