Description
Identification tag consists of bakelite tag and metal tag, attached together by a metal chain. The bakelite tag is octagonal in shape with a circular hole at the top and bottom (chain runs through both holes). The metal tag is rectangular in shape with slits running through the centre and circular holes in 3 of the corners (the chain runs through 2 holes). Brown tag - from New Zealand. Metal tag - German POW tag from Stalag VIII-B Lamsdorf. Circa 1940.
