Description
1951 OLBC Bedford Tip Truck. The truck has a tip tray and comes with spare parts. This truck was used as a tip truck for a dairy company and for metal spreading. The truck is an example of the 1940s and 1950s vehicles. The truck has undergone some restoration work. The tip truck is an example of the "Semi cab over" design. CC rating: 2200 Gross laden weight: 8382 kg. Odometer reading on purchase: 76,800 kms.
Brief History
This truck was originally owned by the New Zealand Dairy Company in Tuakau, South Auckland. It was sold to a dairy farmer in 1955 and was used for general farm work. In 1989 the truck was sold and restored by its new owner. It is a 5-ton version of the 3-ton MLC truck and is an early example of the “semi cab-over” design, which allows more space on the back for loads.
