Description
Aviation computer, plastic, series of plastic discs on a metal axle. The name is Jeppesen Computer and this is printed in black on one side of the instrument. There are 4 round discs on the axle together with a marker arm which has been broken off. The computer has calculation data on Fuel, Distance, Nautical and Statute Miles, Fuel in LBS, Oil in LBS, Imperial Gals, Indicated Temperature, Calculated Air Speed KTS, Mach Number, Pressure Alt, True Air Speed, True Altitude Temperature Rise, Density Alt, True Air Temperature. On the reverse side of the instrument the disc calculates left crosswind, right crosswind, effective and true air speed. The instrument has compass settings for 360 degrees with an overlaid disc for wind offset. The computer was made by Jeppensen Computer Denver Colorado. Copyright 1955. Ray Lahr Pat Nos.2,528,518 and 2.775,404. There is a caution at the centre of the disc which reads: Caution Temp over 60° C 140° F will warp this computer.
