-1 Lid - Fountain Pen Case. Rectangular lid for a container for a fountain pen. Lid is cardboard with blue paper. The stamp on the top is purple and reads: THE "EMPIRE" VALVELESS FOUNTAIN PEN, THOS. DE LA RUE & CO.LTD., LONDON. The stamp has a gold trim around the edges. A sticker on one side is blue with purple writing. The sticker reads: EMPIER No.3. There is a thin purple border around the sticker. There are 2 semi-circles on the sides so that the bottom of the container can be pulled out. Black ink on inside of lid, both blotches and signature of H.R. Hawkins. To the left of the purple label is a circular stamp with purple writing which reads: 14 CARAT GOLD PEN, FITTED WITH IRIDIUM POINTED. -2 Base - Fountain Pen Case. Rectangular base of a container for a fountain pen. Base is cardboard with blue paper coating. The bottom of the base has a white sticker on it. The sticker is stamped in blue ink.
