Description
Model aircraft - Southern Cross. Scale model of the Southern Cross, a triple-engine monoplane. 2 of the engines are mounted on struts below the wings and directly above the landing wheels. The third engine is mounted in the nose of the aeroplane. The cowling of the aeroplane is painted silver as are the wings. The fuselage is painted blue. The propellers are painted silver apart from the propeller tips which are painted yellow. Behind the cockpit and running down the fuselage, are 5 passenger windows of various shapes. The markings on the aeroplane are as follows: "Southern Cross" is written along the fuselage. ANZ is printed on the side of the engines. VH-USU is printed on the fuselage under the wings. Fokker FV11B3M is printed on the tail upright. The landing wheels are pneumatic tyres.
