Description
Military uniforms; Parachute harness/jacket pilot's jumpsuit. Post World War I. Sleeveless and legless jumpsuit, green canvas fabric. Double zip runs down centre. Two front pockets with zips. Domed flap over each shoulder. Buttons inside jacket. Numerous metal brackets/loops attached.

Early Dual Purpose type with provision for clip-on seat or chest type parachute packs. Manufactured by GQ Parachute Co Ltd of Woking, Great Britain. Most are dated 1940 Manufactured from heavy olive drab cotton with twin front zip opening and zipped pockets. Used in the early days of WW2 by bomber pilots and continued to be used during the war by Bristol Beaufort and Havilland Mosquito pilots . A detachable fabric stole would contain the inflatable stole (bladder). Air Ministry marked label.
