Description
Intercom System - Modern phone in 3 separate units - control/switch box; junction box; handset; all connected by multiplex.
Control/switch box - metal case; oblong. The front/back and top covered in a brown pattern, imitation wood, with the front corners rounded and each with a grill of horizontal bars; on one end is a bracket and rack for the hand-piece. Centre-front are 6 3-way switches, each with an indicator panel above and below. The bottom panel is painted.
The handpiece is connected by a 2-way flex, running out of the back on the rackside. The much thicker co-axial that runs to the junction box, exits close by.
Hand-piece: Plastic; black. Conventional design, one-piece with a speaking and listening function at either end.
Junction Box: metal case; oblong, in a black crinkle finish. Coaxial entering at one end, from the control/switch box, and provision for outlet at the other.
Has "Modernphone" written on a label on the back, also Patent information. "Made in England" stamped underneath.
