Description
Incubator (for retaining life in babies). Pre World War I 'Maxinec' Electro Medische apparatus. Type "S" serial No.50173, 220 volts. Supplied by Watson Victor, Australia / New Zealand. Painted cream. Sitting on white wood and metal trolley. Black plug on lead extending from one side. Oxygen bottle and thermometer inside and 2 hand holds. Bed for baby inside. Clear plastic top and front. The unit is on top of a moving base with 4 wheels and has 2 shelves. Used at St Vincent's Home of Compassion Maternity Hospital, Kelmarna Avenue, Herne Bay, Auckland, in emergencies only. (Duplicated record in F1632.2004).
