Description
Gramophone HMV cabinet model with legs, 2 opening doors and opening lid. The unit consists of tall floor standing wooden cabinet with a lift up lid on its own hinge. In the centre is a large turntable which can accommodate the larger size records of the day. A gooseneck tuner arm protrudes from the far corner. It is U-shaped at the end and holds the small round speaker. There are operating levers on the side and a small shallow box to hold the spare pins. The cabinet stands on 4 ornate legs and the front part opens up with 2 doors to reveal 4 shelves, 3 of which are sloping downwards, to hold spare records. The HMV logo of the white dog and horn can be seen printed on the inside of the gramophone.
