Description
Children's toy tea set, ceramic, several colours like green, yellow, brown, red, blue, depicting Dutch figurines, windmill, dog, house; gold coloured rim. White with decoration around top edge. Made in Japan. Missing 1 saucer and sugar bowl. Closer inspection in 2015 indicates that the "cup" thought to be missing a handle is actually a bowl. It has a shorter and wider shape than the cups and has no areas where a handle has been removed. Therefore, it is likely the "missing" sugar bowl and there would be no other saucer. It is more likely that the tea set was for four cups rather than five. Set therefore includes 4 x tea cups, 4 x saucers, 1 x sugar bowl, 1 x teapot with lid, and 1 x milk jug.
