Description
Goggles and flying helmet - black leather, with listening tubes, in small brown suitcase. -1 Goggles - pair of inverted triangular shaped Perspex lenses with thick padding around them. An elastic band attached to a metal clasp and round hook at each end wraps around. The words "Aviator Goggle" in stylised hand are inscribed on the bridge of the nose-piece. -2 Helmet - black soft leather with metal tubes at each ear for inserting the listening tubes. The inner lining is yellow and faded. There is a metal zipper at the back in the centre to facilitate easy donning and removal of the helmet. -3 Listening tubes - pair of rubber, nylon covered tubes with a metal tube at each end and a V-shaped tube at the other joining the 2 ends. -4 Suitcase - small, brown, leather with a single spring clasp in the centre. The carry handle is missing. The latch no longer works.
