Photograph album containing black and white reproduction and original prints, primarily of the New Zealand Second Contingent of the South African War. Subject of prints include armaments; squadron group portraits; urban and rural landscapes of South Africa and Bombay; family portraits; personalities; photographs in newspaper clippings.
Photograph album contains loose prints, including: mounted portraits of soldiers in military uniform; couples wedding portrait in a folder; photographic postcards of military scenes; series of sepia prints of an older couple outside a suburban home.
Loose ephemera also within album including: a song sheet for a Military Service at St Giles Cathedral on Sunday August 3rd 1902, 9.30am; a envelope; published letter (torn).
