Description
Collodion type photograph (glass positive) of a girl in mid-Victorian style costume. One hand resting on book, other in lap. White collar & cuffs, hair parted in centre. Scratches on surface. Collodion process. Cardboard frame with partly worn gilding. The back of this frame which is separate, carries the name - "Bowman's Photographic Portrait Room, 65 Jamaica St., Glasgow".
