A Mitsubishi Fuso No.1 truck. Single cab. The cab is blue and white.Transfer mirrored on both doors reads 'REFRIGERATED / FREIGHT / LINE / Ltd'. Printed on the side rear of the cab reads ' FUSO NO1 / THE FIRST MITSUBISHI / HEAVY COMMERCIAL IMPORTED / TO NEW ZEALAND BY / TODD MOTORS LTD / REGISTERED IN 1971' printed twice on front of cab left and right reads 9890.Towing ring mounted to front bumper. One spare tyre mounted under the body.
Brief History
New Zealand was the first country to import trucks from Japan, this Mitsubishi being the first exported by Japan in 1971. It was operated by Refrigerated Freight Lines for long distances, then on local work, and finally as a yard truck.
