Description
Camera - 'Monroe' folding plate. It is a very small collapsible bellows camera taking 2 x 2½ inch images on glass plates or sheet film. It has scissor style struts which allow it to fold to a very compact 1½ inches.

Brief History
The Vest Pocket Monroe camera, also known as the No.1, was first manufactured in 1897 and is one of the earliest folding vest pocket cameras. When it was first introducted the struts were made of nickel, however in 1898 the metal was changed to brass.
