Description
A wooden base that holds a roll of paper tape in a drawer. Mounted on top is a mechanical device that records all transitions received by a cable station and prints them on the tape. A synchronizing motor is on top. It was used to automatically record the receipt of a telegraph message, as a wiggling ink line on a roll of paper tape.
