Pair of pince-nez eyeglasses with case. Clear glass, no rim with gold bridge. Fine gold chain attached to left lens. Hard, spring shut case, covered in black leatherette with dark blue velvet lining, gold lettering on top "Balfour M. Irvine F.S.M.C, Karangahape Road, Auckland".
