Description
Circular direct current watt hour meter. Meter held in a circular glass chamber with two metal posts connecting the glass face to the base. The base is black painted wood.At the top of the meter is a white metal circular clock face with numbers around the edge from 0 to 10 in increments of 10. There is one black metal hand. Under the 0 is a horizontal wheel with a printed arrow pointing right underneath. Under this is "NO 3006265 / SANGAMO / MULTIPLY BY 100 / KILOWATT HOURS". Below this are four small printed clock faces, each with a separate metal hand and numbers from 0 to 9. The first has "1,000,000" printed above it, the next has "100,000", next has "10,000" and the last has "1000" printed above it. Below this is a metal maker's plate, "DIRECT CURRENT WATTHOUR METER / NO. 3006265 WATT HOURS / PER DISK REV. 13331/3 / AMPS 5000 TYPE D-5 230/460 / 280/560 VOLTS / BRITISH SANGAMO CO LTD / PONDERS END, MIDDLESEX."
