Black and white contemporary photographic reprint. Image taken at the Auckland Telegraph Office and shows Post and Telegraph Office staff member Ronald (Ron) Fruish using the morse key, at the telegraph line known as the "Order Wire".
This morse key was made by Elliott Brothers Limited, London and mounted on a wooden base and used for communication between the Auckland office and other telegraph centres to facilitate telegraph circuit needs
