Pair of skis - wooden - owned by Sir Edmund Hillary. Pair of wooden skis with metal and leather fittings for attachment and rubberised layer where foot placed.
Printed emblem at front of each ski stating STRIMLEIN, metal cap at back with patent number cast in metal, metal disk attached to each ski stating BASTMANS and ?? GEORG A BASTMAN STOCKHOLM, SANDSTROMS engraved on metal fittings. R A embossed behind fittings over top of ink stamp mark which is indecipherable (R A may refer to Royal Artillery, however no military broad arrow present)
