Description
Cast iron in grey/black. Originally black. Has a brass heat shield under wooden handle. To operate, the pin is removed and the handle/chimney section pulled up. Hot charcoal from a fire (or range) are placed inside (over the air holes). The lid would be shut and pin replaced. The air vent cover could then be adjusted to increase flame inside. Obviously designed for a right-handed person, as the chimney outlet would be away from the body.
