Description
Camera - "Mentor" single lens folding reflex, taking 2¼ x 3¼ plate or film pack. The cube-shaped body is made of wood and aluminium covered with leather and has a fold-up viewing hood. The camera folds up 6 8 2; but, when open, is a full 120 single lens reflex. Shutter focal plane, speeds of 1/1300 to 1/2.68 speeds in all. Lens f4.5 12 cm. The lenses are interchangeable.
Brief History
Goltz & Breutman’s Mentor Reflex camera is a single lens reflex camera with a wooden box body, made by the German firm from about 1905 onwards. Their specialty was cameras with focal plane shutters.
