Description
25 Years Service Medal.
Brass medal with purple ribbon. At the top, there is a clasp with "UFBA" engraved on it. From the clasp, two chain hang to suspend a circular medallion embossed with "25 / YEARS / SERVICE" on the front, and "PRESENTED TO / C.A. OSBORNE / Onehunga F. B. / 31:3 521" engraved on the back. Below this, attached to the ribbon, there are three two year service bar with a shield in the centre surrounded by flames and crowned with a helmet and crossed axes. "2 / YEARS / SERVICE" is embossed on each. At the bottom of the ribbon, an eight-pointed star shaped medal hangs, "25 / YEARS / SERVICE" is embossed. On the back, "PRESENTED / TO / C.A. OSBORNE / ONEHUNGA V.F.B. / 1-4-27" is inscribed.
