Description
"Circuits are developed for division of multi-digit numbers by fixed small divisors. Firstly, a fast algorithm is demonstrated that works in any case where the dividend base and the divisor have no common factor. The special cases of division by base+1 vand base-1 are then considered. These turn out to be parallel implementations of very simple repetitive division algorithms. The repetitive algorithm for division by 5 can be used to construct a binary to decimal cellular circuit that is faster than those of prior art." -- Abstract on title page.
