Description
Electronic Scooter [Lime-S SK2]. Scooter has black handlebars, with a bell and a brake on the left. The brake has a star logo in white with a “5” in the centre. The black brake wire connects to the scooter stem. There is a throttle mechanism on the right handlebar with a green rectangular section that reads "Push / Press / Go". To the left of this is a small white square sign with a QR code in the centre, and "Scan to unlock" and a serial number underneath in black. There is a headlight just under the handlebars. Below this is a green box containing the scooter’s electronic motor. “Designed in / California” is printed in white text on the front. On the left side there is a barcode label at the bottom: “LBCA TSL-EU_ V02 / IMEI: 869313030000464”. The stem of the scooter is black. At the bottom of the stem, there is the Lime logo and “Lime.S” in white and green text with a grey image of a scooter printed on either side of the tube. On the inside of the stem below the handlebars is a small port with a rubber cover with a lightning bolt where the charger connects. Below this is the Lime logo, "Lime.S / Shared Scooter / Download / the Lime App” with two stickers, "Download on the / App Store", "GET IT ON / Google Play". Below this is “$1 to start, / unlock in app”. Below this is green and white text explaining how to use the scooter, "P / Park properly [...]". Underneath this is a barcode label: “SA41805022314”. The base is connected to the stem with a white downtube. This has the Lime logo and “Download Lime” printed in green. Below this is “Download on the / App Store” and “GET IT ON / Google Play / www.limebike.com”. Just above the axle is a black coloured shock absorber. The axle has two white reflector stickers on either side. The front wheel has a green fender above it. The tyre has "RISING SUN" embossed on either side. The deck of the scooter is white coloured metal with a dark grey grip mat with text in the centre, “S1 TO START”. There is also a small black metal kick stand on the left side. There are white reflectors on either side at the rear. The rear wheel has a green fender with brake, with the Lime logo, “Lime.S / Shared Scooter / Designed in California / GPS / Tracked”.
Brief History
This Lime-S SK-2 is the first e-scooter Lime imported to New Zealand. It was used as a demonstration model in 2018 to promote and educate about the use of shared e-scooters to local councillors and government officials, as well as test GPS software and mobile connectivity in New Zealand.
