Description
'Fleetwood' model 566F, serial No.7713, made for New Zealand by Philips, Holland. (Dial shows NZ stations), 5-valve, magic-eye tuning, all miniature valves. Rear panel marking reads "A3 258 90". Cabinet is heavy, moulded plastic - case numbered 30057. 4 scale dial, 5 x push button controls in front for switching: 2 x short-wave bands; band spread (on 9.5 to 12 MHz) broadcast band; and Phono pickup input.

Bass and Treble, plus Volume ON/OFF, and Tuning controls. Rear connections for antenna, earth, pickup (Phono) and switched external speaker (5 ohm).

Cabinet is dark brown with grey and cream trim at the front. Grill cloth is cream with gold slub. Has revolving (90 degrees) ferrite rod antenna coil with lever at rear of cabinet labelled "Orienteerbare Ferroceptor". Internal speaker 9 x 6 inch permanent magnet.

Used as a family radio (mantle model).
