Description
Scooter. Children's Kick Scooter. Red scooter with two wheels, a metal frame with wooden handlebars and foot pad. The scooter has been well-used, with scratches and wear visible throughout.

The metal frame of the scooter is composed of two main parts: the front steering column and the bottom section which forms the base of the scooter.

The steering column is made from two parallel vertical thin rectangular metal bars. These are held together by two brackets – one a third of the way down the stem, the other is at the base just above the front wheel. This piece is affixed to the bottom section of framing using a metal pin which allows the steering column to rotate. The handlebars are attached to the top of the frame with two screws.

The bottom part of the frame is similarly constructed from two horizontal parallel pieces of metal that bend upwards at the front to connect to the metal pin at the base of the steering column. The wooden foot plate is secured to the frame underneath by two brackets with a screw in the centre of each one. The foot plate is rectangular, but tapers in slightly towards the front wheel. There is a small 'r' shaped brake lever at the back of the foot plate that the rider stands on to operate. The wheels are solid metal, with thin black rubber tyres.
