A sound recording of the Moon landing of the Apollo 11 spaceship in 1969.
Part 1: 7" Vinyl record, Black with black and silver labels on centre of both sides. Label shows image of the earth as photographed from the moon. Text on label: "PHILIPS / TRUST IN / PHILIPS IS / WORLD WIDE / MOON 1 / MAN ON THE MOON".
Part 2: Plastic Record Sleeve, clear.
Part 3: Record cover is colour printed card with two folding sides. cover is printed with image of Astronauts feet on moon with text "The story in sound of the Apollo 11 Landing". Other image on the cover are of the Landing Module and the three astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin, and Michael Collins. The inside of the cover is printed in black and white and features a history of humanity's progress into Space. Header reads ""Man on the Moon"July 21 -1969" (date is NZ Standard Time). The inside cover also features "A word from our N.Z. expert / Peter Read F.R.A.S. / Printed by Bascands Ltd., Christchurch, N.Z.".
Part 4: The record insert is also colour printed on card and the three side fold inward. The image on the reverse is of the Apollo Shuttle launching. On the inside of the insert is a diagram of the "LUNAR LANDING MISSION PROFILE" Printed in black and white.
